AVID and Evergreen Co-Op
Dollars To Scholars implemented their program with AVID students, reaching 45 kids at Central Middle School and Western Middle School. They saw 40pt test score increases after completion of the course. AVID students are typically from the academic middle and the majority at these two middle schools are first-generation prospective college students. Additionally, the program was implemented with students at the Evergreen Co-Op, reaching homeschooled students in our community.

Our Curriculum
The Dollars To Scholars team has created a curriculum that is guided by GROWTH. This curriculum encompasses concepts that are most pertinent to a middle schooler, setting them up for success and providing an imperative basis of financial literacy knowledge.

AP Business with Personal Finance
In the 2026-2027 school year, The College Board is realizing a class called AP Business with Personal Finance. Dollars To Scholars aims to help better the financial literacy education of kids who have the opportunity to take the class by reinforcing knowledge. For those who are unable to take the class at their school, the Dollars To Scholars team will be making resources in anticipation of the course.
Our Mission
Dollars to Scholars introduces elementary to high school students to introductory financial literacy content through concise lessons in order to facilitate students’ first steps in becoming financially independent.
